Wooden Snowman
I had bought a wooden snow man at the thrift store and i decided i wanted to make it more ME...well....i made it more me by throwing it away and drawing out my own on some plywood and cut it out and painted it up to suit me ! yes i use power tools, i have my very own! ha ha.
So i drew up this snow man and cut out his nose on a thin piece of wood and painted it all up with house paint as a base. Then while it was still wet i used some craft paint, blue and painted in the edges and lightly brushed it into the wet white paint to give it shadow and demention. Added some berry springs to his hat, a cloth ribbon and then a plaid scarf and some snow glitter ! I used some of my aged wire and jingle bells and attached it to the snowmans arms by drilling a hole and wiring it through. I did this all in about 3 hours! I will let it dry good and dry and then spray it with some mate finish to protect it while its outside this winter on the side of my house! It was a fun project! As for the old snowman, i borrowed his arms for this one and little miss bailee decided to not throw it away and painted it up to her liking! Ill attach it so you can see!

Flower/Bird Frame Art
I found this awesome frame at the thrift store for 25 cents. I brought it home and painted it off white and then rubbed on white and brown. I took and cut out my flowers out of brown and blue papers with my new die cuts from MFT.Each center has a off white pearl. I also had this little blue bird off off another thrift store find and used it to tuck in amongst the flowers. I used my punch to punch out some foliage to tuck in around the flower and in the back ground behind the bird. Wondering if i will sell or keep this one!

Home Sickness Kit Tin Set.
I found another round tin and i love to use them in making kits. I decided with all the people in the military that are away from home and college students and newly married couples, this would be a great tin for one of those people!
The tin has been covered with Melissa Franses and other scrapbook papers, I hand cut out all the flowers, added gems and pearls to dress them up. Inside the tin is a book for photos of home and family, a small journal, and 2 file folders . One to put letters from home in and the other blank for what ever someone wants to use it for. There is till room to send goodies and other things someone might want to tuck in!

Some more tags and a Birthday Card
Been working on some more tags, a set of 4 snowman tags. I used Glitter snow on their bodies, color pencils and a little button on their hats. Aged edges and vintage stamps to give them a old world feel. The backs are covered with sparkly red paper and plaid is on the top for support for the hemp strings.
Also shown is a birthday card i made today for a friend of mine. Since its a winter birthday i opted for this magnolia stamp set,and added some fun flocks and stickles. I inked up a chipboard butterfly to match the one in the paper. I hope she will like it!

snowman gift tags
I have been working on these 12 snowman gift tags these last few days. First i cut the tag shape out of kraft paper, then stamped the snowman image and colored it with colored pencils. I ran it through my zyron machine and made the top sticky . I then took some vellum that has sparkles in it and attached it to the top. Then i ran the tag through my cuttlebug with the polka dog embossing folder making sure the dots poke up so it looks like snowflakes. Then added some card stock to the top for reinforcing the hole, added some hemp string. I added some scrapbooking paper to the bottom, a cute plaid and then punched some strips and attached over the top. The some punched snowflakes and a clear dew drop! I stamped TO and FROM on the back of each tag. I will sell them in sets of 6 on etsy.HERE Thanks for stopping by!

8x8 Snow Angel Scrapbook Pages
Listed on Ebay you can find it HERE.
I decided to make up a few scrapbook pages and see how they sell. I made these 2 snow angel themed pages. Machine sewn, lots of glits and glimmer. chipboard snowflakes with chunky glitter, and dew drops, lace, pearl flurishes, 2 places for picks and a place to journal. I added some vintage stickers on aged cardstock, and then did the ..you guessed it, dryer sheet technique! I had too...it made the pages! added a little glitter to them , ribbon to one and they look fantastic! I had fun making these and will probably made a few more others and list on ebay or etsy. I may try these on ebay this time, its gotten so expensive to list on there so that is why i quit and just stuck with etsy. But i might see how this sells and go from there. Where ever i list i will come back here and post it so you can find it if your interested.! thanks for stopping by!

Dryer sheets...who would of thunk!
I made some cards today and i think ive gone completely crazy for dryersheets!!!!! I watched a tutorial the other day from Beate on her blog Fresh and Fun, you can find it HERE. Oh my im addicted to it now! lol I can seem to wash and dry clothes fast enough to do this, and i have to fight the puppies for the dryer sheets!! Now i am going to HAVE to get a zyron machine, as i dont have one now so i improvised and used some teriffically tacky tape, in sheet form. I stuck the TTT on the front of the image, and it makes it a little yellower in color, but it still worked, then rub on the dryer sheet, then you still feel a little sticky coming through the dryer sheet and i rubbed some of the martha stewart fine glitter on it like Beate did and it is so awesome! Just make you so happy !!! You have to try it! Makes it so soft looking! So i used what i had, I think i can squeeze one or 2 more small ones on the rest i have if im very careful!! lol Friday im going to town and will price out one of those zyrons! LOL. My kids might have to go with out a meal but im getting one! JK!
Anywho back to the cards! I colored these 2 images, The bear is lily of the valley and the girl and her dog is a penny johnson. I used some scrap papers on the cards, one i used kraft paper for the card itself and the other a blue cardstock for the card. I stamped snowflakes on the girl and her dog cards and then on one i clear embossed over the larger snowflakes, on the other i added rhinestones for a little sparkle!
On the bear stamped cards i used more scrap papers and machine sewed them and added some snowflakes that i used chalk ink on to add some color to match the dotted paper behind the image! All have the same sentiments, you warm my heart and Im keeping one of each and posting the other 2 on etsy, hopefully tomorrow!
Thanks for stopping by, if you need me ill be sitting by the dryer waiting for my dryer sheet!

I received a new die cut, two actually, that i ordered from my favorite things, from die-namics, i got the rolled rose die and the rolled flower die as well.
