Art Journal Piece.....Beloved

I have been working on this piece for a few weeks...I have a stamp with this word BELOVED on it...and that is what inspired me for these pages. I am using the skills that i learned from Christy Tomlinson, she is so talented with her mixed media art...and with my people/faces i learned from a free online course that Tamara Laporte over at Willowing and Friends. She is so fantastic with her art, i just love her work.
I used acrylic paints, stickles, colored pencils, gelly roll pen, promarker pen , ink, stamps, modeling paste making the wings and the 3D harlequin. So much fun to just get in and get dirty. I remember when i first watched Christy Tomlinson create..and how messy she is...she just got right in there and had fun and didnt stop for cleaning...and for me i think im a little OCD on things like that...that it hindered me from really letting go and enjoying myself.  So I took Christys example and just went with it and got messy! It really is freeing! Just do what you got to do  and its only paper and paint...you can paint over...there is nothing to be afraid of! Give it a try, check out their blogs both have free videos, and they are really enjoyable to watch and really great teachers! Have fun!

Two Projects I made in the last few days.....

I have been busy the last couple days with a few projects! This tag orignally started out as the start to another project and i scrapped it almost throwing it away. But i took the tag part, and disassembled it and started with this new image i have from lili of the valley.  I had attached the burlap for the other project as well as the blue raffia and sheer ribbon.  So I popped the yellow behind the image, adding the swirl which i then added some rhinestones too. And then the lili of the valley sentiment, which i added some color pencil coloring to it along with my gelly roll star dust pen, to bring in the sparkle like in the glitter paper and sparkle on the image which i also used the gelly roll pen! (one of my new found  favorite things i have to have now, thanks to hazel!) I added some red check ribbon which i ran through the sewing machine.

My second project is done on some new cards i bought from Which Crafts? from the UK. Arent they fab?  They are called step cards.  I have never done one before, but was asked to do a few as a project for a customer and i LOVE them. I am going to see about making a templete and see about making them myself so i can save a little money, then ordering from the UK. But if i cannot figure it out..then ill be ordering more! lol This card is already sold.

Special Order 8x8 Album-Black and Cream

I was asked to make a larger version of a smaller 4x4 album i made a few weeks back, that sold right away, for a return customer. she loved the little album but wanted it to be larger! So I ordered in the paper and got to work on a larger version, and i LOVE it in the large as well! I just love the papers, i dont think you can go wrong with these black and cream papers, they make anything look good! lol
They are again the MME-lost and found and the Making Memories Paper Reverie, Noir. She wanted it made EXACTLY like the little album and i did my best to be able to do that.

Faith , Hope & Love paperbag Album (sold)

I had some leftover paper from a large 8x8 project i had done for a special order. I will show it after this one is posted. Using Making Memories papers, Paper Reverie, and some Lost and found papers, by MME.  Lots of die cut rolled flowers and lace and bling! I LOVE how this album turned out, and i may have to make another and post it on my etsy. It is a smaller album 4x4 in size aprox.  A place to add pictures and journal through out each page.

I have to say, that i cannot deny my gifts that i have been given in my life, and my gifts are from God. I want to make sure that in all things i do, Christ shines through.  I put all my faith in God, I have no hope without God, and i know what Love is because of God. That is why i made this album.
