It's been a busy couple months! I have been painting away getting ready for the Art Walk here in town. I have painted 16 paintings in that time! I have 3 sold already, so that is a good thing. My paintings are mostly about being encouraging, being an inspriation, freedom, and most of all being a witness for God.
This is a big step for me today. Its the first time I am putting myself out there with my paintings. I have sold my paper crafts for years, but not really in public, mostly online. So this is different...its really a personal thing. You put your heart out there on the canvas..and you hope that people will accept it..will like it...so I guess I'm waiting for that Sally Field moment...." you like me...you really like me!" lol Actually it's been through all this, that I have learned , I really need to not worry what others think of me or my art..I am proud of it, It is me...like it/me or not. I like it...I like me. I had take a moment during the process and stop painting for what i thought others would like. I had to paint with my heart, with what I had in me for me. And then it made the process alot easier. If you paint for others, you will be stiffled...if you paint for you...freedom comes and things just flow.
