All My Hopes And Dreams Album

This album i have made has been made in a shabby chic type style. i used modeling compound through out to get it some texture and a different look. I think it turned out pretty cute!
The theme is All my Hopes and Dreams...with saying about dreaming your dreams etc.

Front cover is done with a pocket and a cardboard tag which i added pretty scrapbook papers too and added the modeling compound too...its so fun. different style lettering to give it some whimsy. Pretty sparkley ribbons to add even more pretty to this album.
The first page is a photo page with a pretty cream rose with pink shade on it... with a sticker that reads the first step is the dream.
The second page is a pocket page with  another saying added as a tab across the front. Again more pretty flowers, with stickles and modeling compound on  all the pages, and machine sewing through out as well.
2 more pocket pages with large tags for more pics and journaling. I added a pretty die cut butterfly to add a little pop to the page as well.
2 photo pages with 2 large pockets behind, i used vellum to add some fun so you can see through to the tags inside. you can add pics to the front of the pages with the cute chipboard photo corners that i added some of that modeling compound for more texture. love the stamped wings from tim holtz stamp set i have. I added some stickles to get some sparkle into the page, i added sparkle where ever i could! REally great saying on these pages as well....." Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul, and sings the tune with out the words, and never stops at all."I used toule through out where ever i could  too..its so pretty and fun.
2 more photo pages with little pull out tags for journaling. another neat saying with large photo corners for easy placement of pictures.

The last 2 pages have a placement for pics and another large pocket with large tag for more pics/journaling. There are also 2 pull out pages in this album that will fit 4 more pictures and a room to tuck more keepsakes in these pocket areas!
If you are interested in this journal it is for sale for 35.00...let me know if you would like to purchase it!! thanks for stopping by!

D'arcy Diaries Challenge -Monochromatic Challenge!

Today over at D"arcy's Diaries its the monochromatic challenge! I thought this image would be perfect for this challenge and I love how it turned out. I colored the image with promarkers in the brown shades, using sandstone, vanilla, irovy, burnt sienna.
At first i was a bit afraid to use all browns...thinking how can it turn out..with all the same colors? But it did..and it was fun and im going to do it again!!!!!!!! I made the card simple, wanting the image to stand out.  Give this challenge a try! You will be pleasantly suprised!

TeddyBo Tuesday-masculine Challenge

Hello....Welcome to Teddybo Tuesday...! Todays challenge over at the towers is Masculine. I decided to use one of Gayles precolored images for this challege, to save me a little time and because i have not used one before, that i can remember. I really enjoyed that i could concentrate on the card decor, and also do a bit of time cutting by using the precolored image. So this is the card i came up with!

Fan Project for D'arcy's!

Here is a little fan i made up for my project for d'arcy saturday!
I saw a cute fan with japanese figures on it while searching for an idea on google...and i made my own patteren and made this one up.  I water colored the images with watercolor markers and a water pen. I like the effect it made, so soft...was fun!

D'arcy Diaries Thursday!! Lantern Project

After seeing the new images over at D'arcys Diaries, i was drawn to this image and instantly thought it would be so neat to make a japanese lantern!
I had some paper in my stash that was fiber papers, some i have had for a while and it was from eco africa paper. And some was just paper i dont know where i got it! But i thought it would be close to rice paper, since i didnt have any vellum in the right color. Plus i was thinking that the vellum i would have to worry about smearing. I didnt color the image as i wanted it to look like a print and i though it was so pretty just as it was...
The lantern is 12x6 in size and i just made it up as i went along, no pattern. There is a LED tea light in the bottom to illuminate it and its really subtle but pretty.
I cut the flowers from my kraft print paper with my rolled die cut from MFT and the other flat flower is also a die, but dont remember the company. The swirls i have on it i recieved from Hazel, so dont know the brand of that either. I added some pearls to the swirls since this was a pearl and swirls challenge and you might not be able to see but her hair sticks have tiny pearls on the ends of them.  A little stickles on her fan and i was done! Check out the new digitals over at Darcysdiaries.com!
